Review: Abhay Deol's JL50 - To watch or to skip?

Updated: Nov 5, 2020

I recently watched SonyLiv's "JL50" which is the first Indian web series based on time travel and I must say that the story line was somewhat unique. JL50 is a 4 episode web series about a plane JL50 which crashed 35 years after it took off.

Review JL50 Abhay Deol

JL50 received 8.0/10 on IMDb ; though I really liked the story , the execution could have been better. Four episodes didn't seem enough to do justice to the story. Abhay Deol did a good job in this one and recently he has been choosing unconventional scripts like What are the odds? and JL50 ; some of his movies are literally part of my "I can watch this a million times" list like Dev D , Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Aisha.

The background scores could have been better , however, this series is a great start and I am waiting for more Indian web series on Time Travel and similar stuff!

I have always loved "airplane-hijack" movies and series so I had to watch this one. If you too love thrillers, you should try Zee5's The Final Call starring Arjun Rampal which is a decent watch.

Where to watch JL50? Sony Liv
