BLACKPINK'S virtual concert "THE SHOW" , Rosé is all set to release her solo and more!
ROSÉ from BLACKPINK is all set to release her highly anticipated solo in the coming weeks. BLACKPINK has been breaking records left and right this past year after the release of their debut album, THE ALBUM which debuted at #2 on Billboard Hot 100, a first for any K-pop girl group. Their collaboration with Selena Gomez, "ICE CREAM" debuted at #13 on Billboard HOT 100. ICE CREAM not only became BLACKPINK’s highest charting song on HOT 100, it’s also the first for any K-pop girl group.
On January 31, they had their first ever virtual concert, "THE SHOW" on YouTube where all the four members showcased their respective solos and put on some great performances for their fans. Multiple outfit changes, different stage designs, a live band complete with their stage presence, they exceeded every expectation. Rosé debuted a b-side song, "GONE" from her upcoming debut album (Not confirmed if it's an ep or an album) only for the fans. It’s been confirmed that she wrote the song “GONE”.

Since the song hasn't been released yet, the only people who've listened to the song were the concert attendees and the song's been getting positive reviews so far. All the four members performed their separate solos which were absolutely breath-taking. JISOO performed TOVE LO’s smash hit “HABITS”, made the song her own by writing Korean lyrics for the song. LISA performed DOJA CAT’s “SAY SO”, wrote a rap verse for the song and choreographed her performance as well. JENNIE performed her song “SOLO” debuting a new rap verse and new choreography.

BLACKPINK's Label, YG Entertainment has been teasing and talking about the members solos since 2018.
ROSÉ’s “COMING SOON” teaser released on January 25, 2021 took the internet by storm and surpassed almost 14 million views and 2.5 million likes on YouTube in just 24 hours of its release. The teaser also trended #1 worldwide. Yup! A 33 second teaser did that.
As confirmed by YG Entertainment, ROSÉ solo schedule will be released in the coming days. On her IG-live few days ago, she teased her upcoming debut solo stating that the title track will be something completely different from what the fans have heard before.
BLACKPINK's Netflix documentary “Light Up The Sky” released on 14 October 2020 tells the story of the four members from their childhood to becoming the biggest girl group in the world. A vulnerable film that shared all the ups and downs of their trainee lives, their friendship and studio life.
