The Falcon and the Winter Soldier : Aftermath of Endgame
Updated: May 13, 2021
Second Marvel installment of the year 2021, The falcon and the winter soldier’s first episode was released on 19 March, 2021. The story follows where Avengers: Endgame left off. You must remember Captain America giving his shield to Sam (Falcon), thereby wanting him to be the next Captain America. That’s what this show addresses head-on.

Disclaimer: This post will contain a lot of spoilers.
The show introduces us to the world after Endgame, i.e., after the people who had disappeared returned and it caused a bit of chaos. Due to this chaos, a lot of people were forced onto the streets, kids included which led to the start of FLAG SMASHERS. Flag Smashers, a group led by super soldiers believe in ONE WORLD, ONE PEOPLE. They wished to stop the governments of the world from displacing millions of people.
As the show progresses, the importance of the shield and what it stood for and what it meant to the people of the USA was highlighted. Both Anthony Mackie (Falcon) and Sebastian Stan (The winter soldier) did a great job.
Every little feeling was portrayed beautifully, if I may. From discussing what black folk face in the USA to the winter soldier’s struggle with accepting his past, the show was much more emotional and touching than I had anticipated.
The last episode of the show was released on 23 April, 2021; 3 days before the second anniversary of AVENGERS: ENDGAME.
Why should you watch the show?
I think it’s really important to understand how the legacy of Captain America (Steve Rogers) continues. Also, it was astronomical to watch the winter soldier face his demons.
