'The Vampire Diaries' Vs 'Twilight' - Which one do you like?

For die-hard fans of the Twilight series, this might be a hard pill to digest.

The Twilight movie- series are based on the books four vampire-themed fantasy romance novels by American author Stephenine Meyer.

The first movie released in 2008 introduced Bella played by Kristen Stewart, Edward Cullen played by Robert Pattinson and Jacob played by Taylor Lautner. The infamous love-triangle between the three and the hate the vampires and the werewolves have in common is what keeps the movies interesting. Eventually, Bella chooses Edward over Jacob. They get married and give birth to a beautiful daughter. In the process of birthing her daughter, Bella dies and comes back as a vampire.

The birth of their daughter not only brought death on Bella but The Volturi (The largest coven of vampires that act as guardians, keeping the secret society of vampires hidden from the human world) now wanted to kill their daughter too.

The last installation in the movie-series goes down with an epic fight scene between The Volturi and The Cullens and werewolves fighting beside each other.

Spanning across eight seasons, "The Vampire Diaries" give complete insight into the world of supernaturals. The show is packed with vampires, werewolves, witches, siphoners and doppelgangers. With Nina Dobrev playing Elena (and a few other doppelgangers), Ian Somerhalder playing Damon Salvatore and Paul Wesley playing Stefan Salvatore; the three share a love triangle. Two brothers and a girl.

Every season sees the supernaturals fighting the greater evil to protect their friends and family.

Based in the town of Mystic falls, the show makes it sure you are glued to the screen. From epic fights to moments of complete vulnerability, this show is a masterpiece.

What sets The Vampire Diaries apart from the Twilight and why I think it is better ?

It's a fact that unlike Twilight, "TVD" offers a great story that is never boring plus it divulges into the world of supernaturals and gives you "the complete insight". With Prison World's, Heretics, the Original Vampires and the witches, the show offers a great story.
